This automatic powder coating line features a 540’ continuous overhead conveyor system, equipped with a 4-stage elevated and heated detergent spray washer. It also includes a spray iron phosphate pre-treatment wash with rinse stages, followed by an in-line dry-off oven immediately after washing. The line continues with a curing oven that is positioned right after the powder coating process. The washer and phosphate system dimensions measure 34” wide by 72” high, while the powder booth dimensions are 30” wide by 60” high. The dry-off and curing oven dimensions are 36” wide by 72” high. Additionally, the booth is fitted with two GEMA manual powder spray systems, achieving a 100% line speed of 6’-0 / min. Titration of detergent and phosphate is monitored by a controller, ensuring precise metered injection of chemicals. Line loading and unloading can occur at heights of 6’-0 or lower. The system utilizes a 275,000 BTU LP-fired washer heating unit and a 150,000 BTU oven burner. The cold startup time from a 45-degree room temperature to an operating temperature of 400 degrees is approximately 40 minutes. Furthermore, the powder coating booth includes an integrated dust collection system featuring purging capabilities, replaceable cartridges, and secondary filters. The maximum part size for continuous operation within this metal fabrication system is approximately 30” deep, 60” high, and 6’-0 long, determined by the conveyor's turning radius inside the oven, which is set at a 3’-0 radius.
